President & Co-Founder
Adam brings a breadth of business experience to his role as the President of Broga LLC, where he oversees business development, marketing, design, public relations, web development, merchandising, and licensee communications.
Having grown up in a “yoga household,” Adam spent much of his very active, athletic life wondering why yoga wasn’t offered in schools as part of sports training and why/how it had been branded as a lifestyle “for chicks.” In spite of the recommendations of his yoga-teaching Mom, he never embraced the practice until is mid twenties, when he developed a debilitating case of sciatica that put him in physical therapy for six months. It was during his recovery that Adam started thinking about how yoga could be better marketed to appeal to other men who knew about the benefits, but weren’t compelled to attend classes.
Adam has a B.S. in Environmental Economics & Entrepreneurship from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He lives in Nahant, Massachusetts with his wife, Anya.
Katie Rose brings a variety of experience to her role as Online Training Director where she offers personalized support and mentorship to each trainee that comes through our program. Spending several years in Sales, Staffing, and Recruiting roles, Katie has experience in customer service as well as education and training. Uniquely, she has also had experience with Online Training and Licensing programs within the yoga industry.
Her work here at Broga brings together her vast experiences and interests into one neat and exciting package. She gets to help with marketing, build relationships with Students and Licensees, help develop new programming, and constantly expand her technical experience. She looks forward to this ever-expanding role as Broga grows and shares yoga with more men (and women) worldwide.
Katie has a passion for yoga that translates from her teaching into daily life. Her teaching places an emphasis on breath, appropriate biomechanics, and a deep level of body awareness to help people manage their stressors both on and off the mat. She brings a playfulness and reverence to her classes that is encouraging, challenging, and respectful of each student’s needs.
On a constant quest for more knowledge, Katie has received training in multiple styles/specializations through Kidding Around Yoga, 200-hr Hatha Yoga through Anna Pittman of The Breathing Space, and 300-hr Advanced Yoga Studies through Asheville Yoga Center. Katie has studied with Yahweh Yoga and is pursuing her Personal Trainer Certification through NASM. She holds a Regent’s B.S., with emphasis on Organizational Leadership & Development/Marketing from Marshall University.
When Katie is not working on Broga work, teaching weekly group & private yoga classes, or offering workshops, she can be found enjoying time with her two children, Alden and Jewel, in Huntington, WV.
Director of Event & Workshop Development/Management
Chuck Raffoni brings years of business experience along with his knowledge of the health and wellness industry which he applies to his role with Broga. He works to bring ideas to life in content development for in-person workshops, events, 2-day trainings, and serves as Assistant Trainer in Robert Sidoti’s 200-hour teacher training. He uses his marketing and people skills to promote, coordinate, and direct each live event to ensure optimal student experiences.
Chuck came to Yoga after being diagnosed with Epstein Barr/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in the 90’s. Traditional doctors were unable to help him, so he pursued a holistic approach that included natural remedies, Thai Chi, and Yoga. Through this combination, he was able to restore his immune system and overcome the challenges he faced. On his journey to health, Chuck sought out several certifications including a 200-hr RYT, Prenatal Yoga, Children’s Yoga, Senior Yoga, Chakra, and Restorative Yoga. Other healing modalities include Thai Yoga Body Worker, Professionally Trained Health Coach by WellCoaches®, and Reiki Master with training by Aura Vista Healing and Christopher Penczak (Author of The Magick of Reiki).
After many years of sharing his passion for Yoga and holistic medicine, on a casual level with family and friends, he decided to pursue it on a professional level in hopes of sharing his experience and helping others through Yoga, Reiki, Thai Bodywork , Public Speaking & Health & Wellness Coaching. He also regularly offers his own “yogAroma: Chakra Balance Workshop” and partners with a local artist to offer “Relax, Recharge & Create Yoga Painting Parties”.
In addition to teaching his signature classes “Relax” and “Recharge” he is also a licensed Broga® Yoga instructor. Merrimack Valley Magazine called his Broga® class “Addictive.”
