Allan Tate has always been a high intensity type of athlete, excelling at wrestling, boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Weight training was used by him additionally along with other forms of high intensity training to keep up with the high demands of competing at an elite level. It wasn’t until he introduced yoga as a regular practice, that he understood Yoga to be a better fit for his long-term goals as the changes noted on his own physique out surpassed anything else that he did before. Some of the benefits noted were increase flexibility and range of motion, core strengthening, and body awareness. He noticed how yoga improved recovery time from intense training, and how by adding muscle flexibility by default he was also incorporating injury prevention into his regular practice. Because of its great advantages, he decided to embark on a journey to become a Yoga Teacher himself, so he could share the many benefits that he encountered first hand with others.
