Saturdays: 1:15pm – 2:15pm at AQUA Studio, 78 Franklin St., New York, NY

My background as an instructor is rather eclectic as it was shaped over the years to overcome three personal problems:
- chronic back pain stemming from a serious childhood injury,
- curing an auto-immune thyroid disease (Grave’s Disease) and,
- being able to work out anywhere on a 90 hour week of work (I used to be a traveling management consultant for 15 years as well as a business owner).
As a result I developed skills across many disciplines in fitness, nutrition and lifestyle to regain my health and stay fit. In addition to being a Broga Yoga instructor, I am a NASM personal trainer with a sweet spot for performance and corrective training as well as pain management, an AFAA group fitness instructor and a certified holistic nutrition and health coach (gojifitness.com). I like innovative classes and am the Master Trainer at AQUA, the first and only underwater cycling studio in the US. I design and teach a variety of other classes including spinning, strength and cardio-based classes, bootcamp, TRX, Kangoo Jumps, Indo-board, etc.
Broga’s mission aligns closely with my professional mission of helping people live healthier, happier and more energetic lives and it is another powerful tool in my holistic health change management toolkit. On a more personal note, Broga was the way I got into yoga several years ago and started to like it. I am an action gal, and for years, I run on stress endorphins! Taking it slow was always a challenge. Broga combined both working out and relaxing. As a result of becoming a Broga instructor I have taken my RYS200 yoga instructor training in India and become an avid practitioner of Ashtanga yoga with a daily Mysore practice.
